Military Heroes Ball A Rousing Success
We did it.
All,
I am very pleased to be reaching out one final time in regards to our 2016 Military Heroes Ball, and to report that the event was an overwhelming success in its first year. As a result of the hard work from the active chapter, we were able to raise $23,167 for the Columbus Capital City Chapter 3 Disabled American Veterans by the conclusion of the event. It was our pleasure to honor our heroes in the military, and to be given the opportunity to give back to such a worthy cause. An incredible evening all around.
I would like to personally thank all who attended the event and/or donated to the cause. Having your support means more than I can say, and we appreciate you taking time out of your lives for the benefit of the active chapter. For any with doubts, I hope this serves as a pleasant surprise, and validates that the chapter is doing well, continuing to work to improve, and dedicated to making an impact in the community.
This event was more than just an evening with a dinner and a few speakers. I had the pleasure of watching our chapter come together over something that was our idea, built from the ground up from scratch. To make the event this successful on its first run, we had to get something out of every brother, and we did. In doing so we effectively raised more money from this event than in any year since rechartering, and more than the last few years total philanthropy count combined. Its taken the hard work of many brothers before now to build the chapter up into the position we are in today, to have the funding, caliber of membership, and unity within the chapter to accomplish an event of this magnitude. For all those who played a role in this, the active chapter thanks you. We have built a repeatable token philanthropy event that Alpha Sigma can wear on its sleeve for many years to come, one that we have every intention to grow into the largest on campus in time. I hope you can join us for that.
