KAPPA SIGMA ALUMNI ASSOCIATION NEWS
Whether it is Capital Campaign information and "Ways to Donate", the Alpha-Sigma chapter operations on the campus of The Ohio State University, new events and opportunities to mix it up with alumni and actives, the Kappa Sigma Fraternity at OSU is working on ways to better tell our story.

Chapter Members Respond
In the wake of the recent on-campus threat our Brothers of Alpha-Sigma chapter responded quickly and responsibly.  The officers, using Facebook and text messaging, received SAFE messages from 111+ members during the very early, tense moments of the incident.  With aid and support from advisers, our Brothers were well equipped to navigate the minutes and hours of the threat and OSU alerts.
It is worth noting that the Alpha-Sigma chapter membership at 1842 Indianola Avenue and on campus is no different than Brothers in a workplace setting, retail mall or store or even a favorite vacation resort.  OSU's message:  Run, Hide, Fight!
The first responder(s) aren't always going to be there within 90 seconds of an incident.  All Brothers should have a plan for themselves, co-workers, family members and others should there be reason to believe they are under siege or attack.
Well done Alpha-Sigma actives and advisers.AEKDB

We Do Give a Damn! We Win!
In case you were hiding under some rock in the Alaskan wilderness or vacationing on the other side of the world, our beloved Ohio State Buckeyes answered the question, "Who's The Best in the Big Ten" by defeating TTUN in overtime by a score of 30 - 27.
Some from Xichigan are claiming the heroes of the game were the "Zebras" on the field, arguing non-calls, pass interference calls along with a 4th down spot of JT Barrett's rush for a First Down when it mattered most. No matter.  The Buckeyes missed two field goals, threw one interception and failed on a fake punt attempt.  Those four incidents did not deter the Buckeyes from rising up and taking down rivals wearing maize and blue.
Congrats, Buckeyes!  Let's see what the College Football Playoff committee has to say on Sunday, December 4th once the conference championships are played.
HANG ON SLOOPY!  SLOOPY, HANG ON!
